How to replace rear pinion bearings on 1997 ford f150 4x4?
i was replacing the pinion seal on my 1997 Ford F150 4x4, when i removed the pinion nut i noticed alot of up down side to side movement, is this normal? if not how do i replace the bearing if it is indeed bad?How to replace rear pinion bearings on 1997 ford f150 4x4?Usually when a pinion seal goes the bearing is the culprit as to why it went in the first place, unfortunately there's 2, an inner and outer and should be replaced at the same time, which will unfortunately require disassembly of the entire differential, however I have seen some Podunk's just replace the outer cone, and tighten it up, however its a band aid on a bullet wound and usually doesn't last long before it starts growling at you.How to replace rear pinion bearings on 1997 ford f150 4x4?if the nut is undone it will have movement,locktight nut and tighten back where was
