How much will I get in part ex for my car off a brand new ford Mondeo?

My car that I want to part ex is a Ford Mondeo 2001 ( 2.0 TDLX) That I have owned from brand new with 72,500 miles on the clock. Thank youHow much will I get in part ex for my car off a brand new ford Mondeo?I'd recommend a Mazda 6 mate...Right, your Mondy, value wise somewhere around 拢1,300 to 拢1,800, it depends how desperate the salesman is to sell on the day. Aim for 拢2,400 as a fixed price with full 12 m road tax and full tank of fuel. If you want more advice try www.parkers.co.uk, or www.autotrader.co.uk. A really good site to check is www.honestjohn.co.uk which gives you facts about each car and what to look out for. If you don't get no joy from the Salesman, tell him or her that you're looking elsewhere and that you've had a much better deal at another garage (don't mention which one). It really is a buyers market right now, you've just got to go in there and be aware that they want the deal from you. Oh and don't buy additional extras (Supaguard, rear sensors etc) as these tend to be inflated beyond belief. If you hit the right salesman, try to get him to throw these perks in with the deal. And if you have no joy with the salesman, ask for the "DP", that's the Dealer Principal as you'll usually find them to be more interested in getting the deal done and dusted.Good luck on the motor!

Tip for you: You'll find the best time to buy a new car is around the 19th-23rd December, and 7th Jan-25th Jan. Esp New Year! How much will I get in part ex for my car off a brand new ford Mondeo?
It all depends on what sort of promotion they have on the new car. There's not so much chassis profit in a new car as when you buy used. You will never be offered the price you want as a part ex as they will give you the 'trade' price. You might actually be better off selling it yourself, however this could be a lot of hassle.

As per the above, the best time to buy a new car is at the very end of the month when they are desperate to hit their targets, especially over December or January when it's really quiet. If the car is a factory build then this probably won't matter too much, but if they have something in stock that is not quite what you want I would actually go for it, you will definately get a better deal.

I bought a Fiesta two years ago and got 拢2K for my little W reg 106 (and it booked at 拢2K as well so that was fair). I also got 拢2K off the basic cost of my car due to the Summer of Love promotion they were running. Great deal and this was because I took a 3 door car in silver which I expressly didn't want. It meant the difference in about 拢30 a month and immediately delivery, that 拢30 stacks up over 3 years.

I would recommend you get your car valeted and touch up and scratches or stone chips, make sure all the service docs are up to date too before they look at it for p/x.How much will I get in part ex for my car off a brand new ford Mondeo? The dealer will tell you once he has looked in his little black book - then it's up to you to haggle upwards. How much will I get in part ex for my car off a brand new ford Mondeo?
