powerstroke is by far better. Cummins is a good engine but the rest of the truck is all dodge wich is not a good thing. If you had a choice between a ford or a dodge diesel truck which one would you choose? The one with the least miles. If you had a choice between a ford or a dodge diesel truck which one would you choose?
Chevrolets Duramax is a lot quieter than either and paired with the Allison 6 speed it is hard to beat.If you had a choice between a ford or a dodge diesel truck which one would you choose? The problem with this answer is that you are gonna get answers from the finatics of each make. Y know, diehard chevy guys, dodge guys, ford guys. As far as the motor goes.. id go cummins all the way. bad *** motors. transmission wise.. id def go chevy because of the allison. If i were you, id either go for as duramax or a cummins. Id prob choose the cummins though. Also.. if you are gonna get the ford, just dont do it the first year of a new motor.. they seem to need a year or 2 to get the kinks out. those r my 2 cents. If you had a choice between a ford or a dodge diesel truck which one would you choose?
Ford all the way. Consider this Ford sales more commercial trucks then any other manufacture in the world. When companies buy trucks they do not consider advertising or style and of any of the things that consumers get so caught up with. They consider how well the Truck preforms the work it was intended to do. For 40 years more companies have chosen Ford then any other truck. Also do yourself a favor stop by a dealership and get the DVD "truth about trucks." that will give you a lot of solid information.
Just about all my die hard Ford and Dodge diesel friends have lately traded their trucks in for the Chevy Duramax with the new Allison transmission. I currently have a late model Ford F250 4x4 that will SOON be replaced with the new Chevy Duramax (I haven't owned a Chevy for years, and am not a fan of them but its the best vehicle out there for towing heavy trailers at this time).
