Will the rear shocks of a 1996 ford taurus interchange with a 1996 lincoln continental?

Im trying to save some money by seeing if any other stock ford shocks will fit the 1996 lincoln continental that I have. I only need the rear because i have already replaced the front shocks and they work great. any help would be great thanks! Will the rear shocks of a 1996 ford taurus interchange with a 1996 lincoln continental? No sorry. The Conti shock is a specialized one and very expensive(probably why your here with that question huh?)

The 95 to present Conti is a high-tech piece of machinery, as the car has "multiplexing", which means it has a bunch of modules that communicate with each other. While you may be able to get the Taurus shock to bolt up, one of the many modules(brains) would surely see it and probably not like it(most likely a vast array of error messages).
