2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?

Hello, My Ford Mustang will not start. When I turn the key the engine makes a clicking noise.

However, The lights/radio still work. I tried to get a jump start and that didn't work either. However the guy I got the jump start from reccomended that I get someone and let the battery charge for 20 min. Is this the case? Or is there another problem?

Thanks in advance2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?Sounds like a starter issue, if the battery or alternator were the problem your radio and lights wouldn't work and it would have been easy to jump start.2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?
You are having a problem either with the starter, the starter solenoid or a bad connection somewhere in the cables connecting the battery voltage to the starter. If it is a manual, you can try to coast start it. Next step is to disconnect the battery and charge it, and while it's charging, do a good cleaning job on the ends of the cables with a wire brush. Last choice is a bad starter, and that's the most expensive option, so try the others first.2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?Your battery is dead . The lights and radio probably work because starter motors take a lot more power to start . Jumper cables must have worked but charging your battery would be the obvious first choice.
Just turn on the ignition and see the dashboard for any warning lights (oil engine etc).If you charge your battery and it still does not start, get a new starter motor is in place. Although i am pretty sure that the starter motor is screwed try the cheaper alternative first and get your battery charged.

Hope this helps :D2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?
usually if your lights and radio come on but you hear a click when tryin to start the vehicle it is 9 times outta ten yer starter has gone out. the clicking is yer starter solenoid tryin to engage your starter but cant. try this...get a friend to try and crank your car, find your starter and tap on it with a hammer. if it tries to crank your starter is bad...if you still beleieve it to be a battery problem take it to your local parts store that does battery load tests and have it tested...hope this helps2006 ford mustang will not start, Only makes a clicking noise?9 times out of 10 it's caused by corrosion between the battery post and cable end, take the cable off and get a post cleaner and clean the post and cable end real good... it looks like a pointy wire brush...

The corrosion won't let the battery take a charge, so it's dead and needs charging too..

this is the first thing you do because it's the cheapest..
