Would a ford fusion make a good first car?

So, i'm in the market for my first car. (: I was wondering, would a Ford Fusion be a good first car? Also, how does it handle in winter? I'm in Minnesota, so we get a lot of snow, and I'm looking for something that I can drive in the snow with. So, Ford Fusion, yay or nay? Also what about a Nissan Altima? These are two things I'm looking at. Thanks much. (:Would a ford fusion make a good first car?2010 Fusion, yes, 2009 or older, no way.

The 2010s have been redesigned and they changed all the flaws in the 06-09 Fusion. Test drive a 06-09 Fusion on a highway going 65 mph, roughly. Put down the window and you'll hear a woosh woosh woosh woosh. It is annoying--I know from a first-hand experience test-driving one.

As for the Nissan, my father is a mechanic and EXTREMELY and I mean extremely successful business owner of over 35 years. Trust me, ever since I was a small lad he's always told me

"Never own a Nissan or a Hyundai" a trillion times. Everyone they service have HUGE problems.

What does he drive? A 2010 Toyota Avalon Limited, and although it is recall-affected, he doesn't care. He thinks it is all a media scandal. I would skip the Fusion (if I were you) and consider A Toyota Camry or Corolla or a Honda Accord or Civic.

Good luck with whatever you get, but the Toyota or Honda would make a great first car.

A Ford Fusion is a most excellent car. Don't forget that the Mercury Milan is basically the same thing made at the same factory. The Fusion beat out the Camry in reliability. The Fusion Hybrid is highly sought after %26amp; gets excellent fuel economy. It will do just fine in MN winters. Be sure to get one equipped with a block heater. I'm sure if you buy one new it will already have one.

Nissan Altima is good too, but a bit over priced for what you get.

The Chevy Malibu LT is also an excellent choice. It made Consumer Reports recommended list.Would a ford fusion make a good first car?A Ford Fusion would make a great first car.
