Hi there,
Ive just put 2 litres of antifreeze into my daughters ford KA and I was wondering what the total capacity of the cooling system is. I just want to be sure that two litres is enough. Can anyone tell me the capacity of the cooling system on a ford KA?it should be im guessing your draining the radiator and refilling for winter and two jugs should be fineCan anyone tell me the capacity of the cooling system on a ford KA?no maybe not, think there about 4.5 liters!!!! or even 5 i member this cos i only just had enough in the bottle when i did mine, a full bottle is 4.6 liters, so yes, 5 liters would sound about right!!! i blew my radiator though, so i probably emptied it!, i would have thought you would have had more in yours!!!!
xx2b2xx - you don't put anti-freeze in the radiator!!! that goes in the windscreen washer!!!!, coolant is different, it regulates the temp in the radiator, either up or down, the anti-freeze is not made for that as it can only anti-freeze things! the reason why coolant is more expensive is cos it has a lubricant in it designed for high temperatures, the anti freeze dos not!!!
