not anymore no . When block exemption was introduced about 2 years ago you can now have it serviced at any reputable garage.
You can get your car serviced at any licensed repair facility. You will just want to save your receipts for proof in case you later need it as only the dealers maintain that information for the manufacturer warranty.Do I have to get my Ford car serviced in a Ford garage?
Shop around for a good independant garage. My local Ford wanted 拢265 for a 3 year service, got it done for 拢180. I did it 6 weeks before the warranty ran out so any faults would have to be done by Ford. They dont like it but its the way it is..Customer Power!
I had the same problem with my Hyundai, had to get it serviced at the hyundai dealership with their rip off prices, I approached the AA service centre and they said I could get it serviced anywhere so long as they used Hyundai parts if any were needed. I had it serviced there and saved 拢60
No. You don't even have to take it in for service. You need to maintain records of your maintenance and you need to use authorized parts and materials. Good luck with the computers, though.
No, you do not HAVE to; for ease of warranty repairs you may WANT to though.

In Europe, ANY garage can now service your car as long as they service to the Ford service schedule and use genuine Ford parts.

Some people find it advantageous, both financially and to protect themselves, to have the servicing done by an independent, reliable garage that will both charge you less and check your car over so that you get maximum value from your warranty.

It is your choice, but I know what I would do. Establish a relationship with a garage you trust, Ford or independent.
if you havea warranty why not you dont have to pay
