Anyone know what could be wrong with my Ford Galaxy?

My Ford Galaxy suddenly wouldn't start, it turns over but doesn't catch.

It has been in the garage for a few days and they discovered that there's no spark getting to the spark plugs, apparently an electrical fault but they can't find the actual cause of the problem.

Has anyone any ideas or maybe you had a similar problem.Anyone know what could be wrong with my Ford Galaxy?Hi

It sounds like either a crank sensor problem or an immobiliser problem. Are the injectors being pulsed? If not then its either immobiliser or crank sensor.

The crank sensor signal can be scanned during cranking to see if it is present.

Another giveaway is the ECU not waking up. If the check engine light doesn't come on at all or doesn't come straight on when you turn on the ignition then that could be a crank sensor problem. Unfortunately, it could also be an ECU or ECU power supply problem.

Very best regards

What year? No spark indicates an ignition problem of some sort....I'd check ignition system for problems like coil, points, condenser, etc...Anyone know what could be wrong with my Ford Galaxy?if it turns over thn ur battery is fine...im not sure how the ford galaxy engine works ( seperate coil and dizzy or seperate coils per plug) if its a proper garage and they cldnt find the problem thn id assume that they checked spark plugs, coil and distributor so the onl thing i cn think of might be an immobilisor fault....immobilisors in the ford probe are prone to the solder heating up too much and thn the points of contact becoming bad best thing to do is get an auto electricion to look at it...depends whr u are to get a cheapish one but its prob a btr idea thn taking it to a garage
Everyones answers on here are good ones but no one mentioned checking the Timing chain %26amp; gearsAnyone know what could be wrong with my Ford Galaxy?this is just a shot in the dark but diconect the battery leave it for 20mins or so then reconect it . THEN reset the key fob and see what happens ! U`LL NEED THE RADIO CODE FOR THIS SO MAKE SURE U HAVE IT BEFORE U DO THISAnyone know what could be wrong with my Ford Galaxy?
coil, distributor, immobilisor? all i cn think of thtd stop it sparking
It could be the starter. It could also be that your battery has either gone bad or is not properly connected. Try cleaning it, reconnecting the battery cables and attempt to start it again. Also when you do this make sure that your computer cable is connected to the negative pole. You might also have your fuel pump checked just to be sure.Anyone know what could be wrong with my Ford Galaxy?
ford-Found.On.Road...DEAD!
is the earth strap broken/corroded

try replacing the king lead

look at the state of the dist cap, is the brush in the centre inside ok somtimes its on a little spring...

is the rotor arm ok...use brasso to clean it....just a few ideas
Check the coil, and be sure you're getting fuel.

If the coil is OK take off the distributor cap, crank it and see if the shaft is turning and the points are opening and closing.

If the shaft isn't turning it's broken. Find out why before you replace it.

If the shaft is spinning, and the points look OK and are functioning, check the gap.

If all is OK, Check the distributor cap, rotor, and check all the plug wires for resistance.

You should find your problem.
A Galaxy is probably an old car with points and condenser. May be they need changed. I had the carbon button in the center of the distributor cap come out once and it ran till I turned it off and it wouldn't start. When I put the new cap on it took off. It wouldn't hurt to replace the points, condenser ,rotor and distributor cap.
