I need a new author, but I only like medical suspense novels.
Thanks! Can anyone suggest some good medical suspense authors?
Try Michael Palmer. Good medical and good characters.
Leonard Goldberg is another possibility, but Palmer is better.
While he knows his medicine and science, Robin Cook's characters tend to be one dimensional and the basic plots are rather interchangeable. (Giant conspiracy, all of them.)
Michael Crichton is another, but again I found his characters lacking, especially the female characters.
I've been trying to remember the name of a female ER doctor who has just started writing thrillers but I can't come up with a name. Let me think about it some more. I think she's just in paperback now.
I'm assuming you're not looking for forensic folk like Kathy Reichs and Bill Bass or Patricia Cornwell, right?

Robin Cook (older stuff but good)
Try the Andromeda Strain
Books by Kathy Reichs--she writes the TV show Bones.
Some by James Patterson--the Women's Murder Club series--adult readingCan anyone suggest some good medical suspense authors?
Robin Cook is a really good author in this genre. If I could suggest one book by him I would say read Coma. I did my research paper on this book junior year and it was pretty good.
