I find out which murder/mystery book this is.?

A friend of mine asked me for the name of a book, but I can't figure out what it is. It had a bright orange cover, it was about a man who killed someone (but you don't find that out until the end of the book), but his wife covered for him and pretended like she was dead so that people would think she killed him. Every year they would go skinny dipping at some lake and put a mark in a tree.

I doubt anyone knows, but just thought I'd throw it out there. I mainly read James Patterson and Tess Gerritsen, so its in that genre. Any help would be appreciated!!I find out which murder/mystery book this is.?
