If you like John Steinbeck try some Ernest Hemingway or Jack London

If you like Agatha Christie try Mickey Spilane

For science fiction try Isaac Asimov's Foundation Trilogy or Frank Herbert's Dune

I think that Phillip Jose Farmer's River World would also appeal to you.

Try the Harry Dresden Series by Jim Butcher. Or the Codex Alera series also by Jim Butcher...if you like classic sci-fi and the ancient Roman Empire.



If you like Kipling..you would like Samuel Taylor Coleridge (The rime of the Ancient Mariner, Kublai Khan), Antony Burgess (A Clockwork Orange), Kurt Vonnegut ( Slaughter-House Five, Cat's Cradle), or Stendhal (The Red and the Black)
