My absolute favorite book was Needful things- Stephen king - i would love to read something like that again.
I also like Kathy Reichs books and Tess gerritsen...
So ...can you recommend some crime/mystery/science/horror books with maybe a little romanceBook recommendations please?
You might enjoy the Dexter books by Jeff Lindsay, I believe the first installment is titled Darkly Dreaming Dexter. This series is kind of Stephen King meets Temperance Brennan, though it centers on a serial killer with "morals" it has some forensic elements. Hope you enjoy it.
Jonathan Kellerman has some good books... most of 'em follow a psychologist, Alex Delware. He's a good character. Jonathan himself is a criminal psychologist, so he is writing about things he actually understands and has experience with, which makes it more real. Obsession, Compulsion and Bones were all pretty good.
If you like Stephen King, you will like Richard Matheson. He is one of my favorite authors of all time. Stephen King even credits him with being a huge influence on his wanting to be an author. I like his short story books a lot better than his novels. Button Button, I Am Legend or Duel are his best short story books.
It's a lot different than Kathy Reichs, but I have a feeling you'd like some Jodi Picoult books.
My Sister's Keeper is great.Book recommendations please?
Nokosee: Rise of the New Seminole by Micco Mann. It has the defiant voice of a 17 year old girl who manages to overcome everything thrown at her in the course of the novel which is a lot-- and she does it in a way that would make all girls proud-- not in a superhuman way or through the assistance of some heroic act of a man but via her own means.

Falling Angel by William Hjortsberg. Re the book, Stephen King says, "Terrific...One of a kind...I've never read anything remotely like it." Otto Penzler in the New York Sun considers it to be "the single most original private eye novel ever written." I can't vouch for that because I'm not a private eye buff but it is one of the most suspenseful and original books ever written for sure.

Anything by Dean Koontz, or Nelson DeMille.
For crime that's got a bit of humor (albeit, often dry humor) to it, I suggest Robert B. Parker. He writes the Spenser novels, as well as the Sunny Randall novels.
And, if you like King you should read the Dark Tower series (if you haven't yet). Make sure you're prepared to read all seven books in a row, though.Book recommendations please?
Try Jasper Fforde's Thursday Next series. They're about a woman who has the ability to go into books, the first one is about Jane Eyre being kidnapped. They make a lot more sense when you read them, but they're a brilliant mix of crime/humour/sci-fi/fantasy/mystery and a bit of romance.
janet evanovich has a stephanie plum series that is really funny, has lots of suspense and action and lots of romantic hints with none of the explicit stuff some novels have. I started with plum spooky and have also read plum lucky which has some really funny characters. good luck!
Montana Sky
Carolina Moon
(both by Nora Roberts)
I thought they were pretty good. They are more suspense/mystery, though...not horror.
