Can you suggest a good Medical Thriller/Suspense novel?

I really love Tess Gerritsen but have read all her books as well as Karin Slaughter. I do not like Patricia Cornwall, her last book Predator was not good. I was thinking about Dean Koontz or even Nelson DeMille but I have never read any of their books...can anyone recommend a good author of either medical suspense or just a regular thriller or suspense minus the medical....thanx!Can you suggest a good Medical Thriller/Suspense novel?

I can't remember the author, but Hot Zone is an excellent choice for you.
I know that young adult books are probably not exactly what you're looking for, but the Body of Evidence series by Christopher Golden are really good. The first one is called Body Bags, and is rather cheap and probably at your library. The books are about an autopsist's (?) assistant who encounters all kinds of creepy thriller-esque things, like a man who chases girls down, kills them, and cuts out their hearts. Can you suggest a good Medical Thriller/Suspense novel?
Read The Andromeda Strain. Michael Crichton (perhaps best known now for creating/advising the tv show ER.
ANything by Robin Cook
Devil's Cure by Kenneth Oppel
